DESHVI was founded by Prabhuprasad Tripathy, a young entrepreneur from the small village of Nilakanthapur, Jajpur, Odisha. At just 21 years of age, he carried a vision much bigger than himself — a vision to take the authentic taste of Odisha beyond its borders and introduce it to every home across India and beyond.
Growing up in a village surrounded by tradition, festivals, and homemade delicacies, Prabhuprasad witnessed something beautiful yet concerning. The recipes that once brought families together were slowly disappearing from everyday life. Traditional Odia foods like Khaja, Arisha Pitha, Coconut Laddu, and Badi were becoming less familiar to the younger generation. Many people living outside Odisha longed for the taste of home but had no reliable way to access authentic products.
This realization sparked an idea.
What if the authentic flavors of Odisha could reach every Odia living away from home?
What if someone in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai, London, or New York could experience the same taste they grew up with?
What if traditional recipes that have survived for generations could be preserved and celebrated rather than forgotten?
That idea became DESHVI.
But the journey was far from easy.
Starting from the ground level with limited resources, countless challenges, and no shortcuts, Prabhuprasad worked tirelessly to transform his vision into reality. While many saw obstacles, he saw opportunities. While many doubted, he continued to believe in the value of Odisha's rich culinary heritage.
